Asian National Apprenticeship Program

Are you passionate about agriculture and community development? Do you want to gain practical skills that you can take back and apply in your own community?

Asian National Apprenticeship Program

ECHO Asia invites local Asians to join our team to learn the theory and skills needed to support ongoing and new projects in agricultural community development in their communities.

Beginning with participation in our six-day “Intro to Tropical Agriculture & Development” Course, followed by seven weeks of additional learning and practical experiences, apprentices will gain knowledge of valuable, simple, low-cost agricultural options suitable for smallholder farmers and farming communities they serve.

All apprentices are responsible for covering travel expenses to and from Chiang Mai, as well as visa fees. Those with financial hardships can request a stipend to help with housing, food, medical insurance, and local transportation.

We are offering three apprenticeship opportunities in 2026. However, only 4-5 spots are available for each group, so be sure to apply early!

Dates & Deadlines:

  • February 1st-March 27th (Applications Closed)

  • May 31st- July 25th (Applications Closed)

  • November 1st-December 12th (Application due Sept 1st)
